To install Poll Everywhere, you will first need to uninstall the LiveSlides application.
Uninstalling LiveSlides on Windows
Step 1: Click Start, search and then click Control Panel.
Step 2: Under Programs, click Uninstall a program.
Step 3: Select the LiveSlides application
Step 4: Click Uninstall or Uninstall/Change at the top of the program list.
Installing Poll Everywhere for Windows
To embed websites into your presentation, you’ll need to install the Poll Everywhere for Windows PowerPoint app. You can visit the System requirements page to make sure your computer meets the minimum requirements.
Note: You do not have to create a Poll Everywhere account in order to download Poll Everywhere, or to insert webpages into your presentation. You also do not have to re insert any of your previous content that was done with LiveSlides.
Make sure the the Poll Everywhere for Windows PowerPoint app is installed on the specific computer that is going to be used to present. If you’d like additional information on downloading and using Poll Everywhere for PowerPoint on Windows, we have additional support articles.
Step 1: Download the Poll Everywhere for Windows PowerPoint app.
Step 2: Locate and double click the pollev.exe file you downloaded. It’s usually found in your Downloads folder depending on how you have your browser configured.
Step 3: Click the Install button to begin the installation process.
Step 4: When the installation is complete, click the Finish button.
Step 5: Once the app has finished installing, open PowerPoint. You will now see a Poll Everywhere tab.
Inserting web content
Step 1. Click the Poll Everywhere tab, and then select the Insert dropdown to insert webpages.
Step 2. Enter the address of the web page or video you want to insert into your presentation, and click the Insert button.
A placeholder slide is inserted into the presentation slide deck.
Note: The information in the notes field of the slide must remain untouched. If this is deleted or altered in any way, the inserted content will not activate.
The place holder slide for inserted web pages won’t display a preview, or image of the content inserted. The blue marks in the corners are all that matter so that the system knows where to display your webpage.
You are now ready to present.
