Poll Everywhere's Customer Support may ask for the application logs. Here are instructions on where to find them by platform.
Step 1: On the Poll Everywhere tab, select the "Settings" button
Step 2: In the dropdown menu, click "About"
Step 3: In the pop up window, select "Open logs"
Step 5: Once the explorer menu opens, you can drag and drop log files to your desired location (we recommend storing files in a folder)
The Validator tool can be used to run diagnostics on local Poll Everywhere applications.
The Validator is an executable file and does not need to be installed. It will run as soon as you open it.
- On the bottom right is a button that says "Open Logs Location". It takes about 20 seconds to gather and generate the logs.
- This can be used to upload the logs via the Application Troubleshooting page.
When "Contact support" is pressed, Poll Everywhere automatically gathers the logs, creates a zip file, opens their file location, and opens the Application Troubleshooting page. From there, drag and drop the zip file onto the "Drag and drop" box.
When "Contact support" is pressed, Poll Everywhere downloads the logs to your downloads folder and opens the Application Troubleshooting page. From there, drag and drop the zip file onto the "Upload file" box.
