With Poll Everywhere for Mac, you can seamlessly present your Poll Everywhere activities in your PowerPoint or Keynote presentations by embedding them as a slide.
To embed activities into your presentation, you’ll need to install the Poll Everywhere for MacOS app. You can visit the System Requirements page to make sure your computer meets the minimum requirements.
Installation instructions
Make sure that the Poll Everywhere for MacOS app is installed on the presentation computer if the device is different than the one you created the presentation on. Check out the article on presenting activities with Poll Everywhere for Mac for more information.
Step 1: Download the Poll Everywhere for MacOS app.
Step 2: Install Poll Everywhere for MacOS app by opening the pollev.dmg file you downloaded, then drag the PollEv Presenter icon into your Applications folder.
Step 3: Open the PollEv Presenter app from your applications folder and log in to your account (if you don’t yet have an account, there is also an option to sign up for one on the app login screen).
Note: If you are running Sonoma (MacOS 14.0) or greater and receive a pop-up window once you open the app, click Allow in order to allow the Poll Everywhere app to run.
Step 4: After you log in, the Poll Everywhere for MacOS app opens in its own window separate from PowerPoint or Keynote. When the app is running, the Poll Everywhere icon will be visible on your dock. If the app window gets buried, clicking the Poll Everywhere icon in your dock will bring it back to the front.
Step 5: Now that you have the Poll Everywhere for MacOS app installed you are ready to start inserting activities into your presentations.
