Presenter can set a timer on an activity to limit the time participants have to respond. The timer will only appear on the activity chart title if it is set.
Helpful tip: The countdown timer is not available on Surveys. Presenter can convert the Survey to an activity folder in order to add the timer to the individual activities. To learn more, check out Surveys.
To set the timer:
Step 1: Click on the “Timer” tab in the Configure panel listed on the right-hand side on the activity page. Enter the numerical value to the timer that will allow the activity to remain open in minutes and seconds.
Step 2: Once the timer is set, the countdown timer will be displayed in the activity title.
Step 3: The timer controls are displayed in the presentation control bar at the bottom of the activity slide.
The timer will begin to count down when the activity is activated. When the timer hits zero, the activity will automatically lock. When the activity locks, the participants can still see the activity on the presenter’s response page, PollEv.com, but no more responses will be accepted for that activity.
The presenter can play or pause and reset the countdown timer from the presentation control bar. The presenter can disable the timer in the “Timer” tab in the Configure panel.
