In this article:
A Survey is a group of activities that participants respond to at their own pace. Surveys can be activated and displayed on your pollev.com response page, embedded into a Slideware presentation, or can be shared with a shareable response link for participants to complete in an asynchronous presentation.
Present the Survey
The Present button, at the top right, will allow you to enter full-screen mode and activate the activity to gather responses to the Survey in real time.
Activate the Survey
The Activate button at the top right will enable participants to answer your survey during a live presentation. Using this allows participants to only respond to the survey during the time the presenter decides to leave it active.
Share your Survey
The Share button at the top right will allow you to send a unique response link or embed it on your website so participants can respond at their own desired time.
This enables you to collect responses without activating your Survey. Because this method doesn't involve activation, you have the ability to send out multiple Surveys at once.
Things to keep in mind
Responses
As participants begin to respond, their responses will begin to appear in the questions on the left after they submit a response.
Survey progress tracker
As participants complete the questions, the live chart shows their progress through the survey. At the bottom of the chart, a summary tells you how many participants have completed and how many are still in progress.
Note: The Survey progress tracker shows and keeps track of users currently in the progress of completing the survey along with those that have completed it since the last activation of the activity.
Note: If the Survey is set up to display questions on a single page, then the live presentation view will update when the participant submits and completes the survey by clicking Submit survey button. This is only visible to the activity owner.
Visual Customization
Unlike the visualization charts for individual questions, there are not currently any customizations available for the Survey tracker chart. It is always blue on white.
If you need to adjust the visual settings on the questions, you can learn more on Convert to Survey.
