In addition to presenting your activities live in front of an audience, you can also share and publish them on the web. While you can share your activities and responses via email with links, this article will discuss ways to embed your activities into a webpage or a conference tool like CrowdCompass, DoubleDutch, Socio, and more.
You can find the tools to share and publish your activities in the Send tab on an individual activity. Click on the Share and embed tab to expand the menu and find the “Copy embed script” links to embed either the activity itself, your PollEv response page, or display the live presentation view.
This link will copy the script directly to your clipboard so you can use it on your website.
Updated embed scripts
As of December 21, 2020, Poll Everywhere embed scripts with the domain pollev.com
use the new host pollev-embeds.com
for a more secure experience on audience response pages. If you currently have embedded Poll Everywhere activities on your site, please make sure to update them with their new scripts before they’re no longer functional.
- Head to the Send tab on an activity page
- Click on Share and embed to expand the menu
- Locate and copy the embed script for the activity or your PollEv page
Changing to the new host pollev-embeds.com
will result in a better experience for your participants by displaying only essential components in an embedded context.
Other embedded activities, using embed.polleverywhere.com
and polleverywhere.com
, will continue to be displayed on your website.
Live results
If you’ve selected an activity other than a multiple choice activity, or you simply want participants to vote in a more traditional manner (perhaps for reporting/grading purposes) you will also find code to embed your activity slide into a website using an iframe. Copy and paste the provided script into your website to share real-time results of your activity.
How to respond
Participants can respond to embedded activities by selecting or entering an answer directly on your website. If registration is required for the activity, they will be directed to log in to their Poll Everywhere account in a separate pop-up window.
Note: Participants using Safari will need to grant storage permission to Poll Everywhere before responding.
