‘Audience size’ is the maximum number of responses that can be received per activity. Audience size limits are determined by the type of plan you have. For example, the Intro plan has a 25 maximum audience size while an Engage plan offers a 700 maximum audience size. Learn more about our plans here.
Tip: Purchase a plan with an “audience size” greater than the number of people who will respond.
Audience size is calculated by each independent response submitted to an individual activity. Hitting the response limit is not determined by how many participants you have in your audience. For example, if one participant submitted 2 questions to a Q&A activity, that counts as 2 responses towards your audience size limit.
Most of our activities allow participants to respond only once, unless you choose to override the default. You can set a response limit on your participants in the Configure panel on the right side of your activity slide. Read more here.
When you’ve reached your response limit, your poll will lock and can’t collect anymore responses. Let's say you're on a plan that includes a 25 maximum audience size. The 26th response (assuming you haven't cleared responses) submitted will show the participant who submitted it a message saying, "This poll is full and cannot accept more responses". We cannot disable this message; we believe the audience members should be informed if their voice was not heard.
Purchasing a plan with a larger audience size will not give you access to responses that were submitted over your previous limit. Once a poll is locked due to a response limit, additional responses are not accepted and therefore cannot be retrieved retroactively. If you wish to collect responses on the same activity with your upgraded plan, simply deactivate then reactivate the same activity to start collecting more responses.
