Reviewing Attendance Exemptions in Poll Everywhere 2.0

If a student is unable to check in during a location-based attendance session, they have the option to submit an exemption reason. As an instructor, you can review, approve, or reject these exemption requests to ensure accurate attendance records. Within the Attendance tab in your Poll Everywhere 2.0 interface (either in the main app or through Canvas), any response that is not green or blue requires your attention.

  • Green = Automatically verified check-in
  • Blue = Approved exemption
  • Yellow = Pending validation
  • Red = Rejected check-in

Focus on the yellow (pending validation) entries to review unresolved exemption requests. Your decision updates the attendance record and is reflected in reports and gradebook syncs.
