When you log in to Poll Everywhere 2.0, the interface is designed to make it simple to create, organize, and analyze interactive content. Whether you’re presenting live polls or reviewing student participation, each tab in the left-hand navigation gives you access to the tools you need.
Home Tab
After logging in, you’ll land on the Home tab. This is your launchpad for quick access to:
Recently created or edited content
Creating new polls using different activity types like multiple choice, open-ended questions, attendance, or competitions
AI-generated questions based on text prompts, such as course material or learning objectives
Think of the Home tab as your starting point for creating content or picking up where you left off.
Polls Tab
The Polls tab is where all your content lives. Here you can:
Browse all your polls and activities
Organize them using folders by course, event, or theme
Move, edit, archive, or delete existing questions
If you collaborate with others, this is also where you’ll find the Shared with me section, which lists polls and folders that other users (like TAs or co-instructors) have shared with you.
Deleted or archived content will appear in the Trash section of this tab, where you can restore or permanently remove items as needed.
Reports Tab
The Reports tab helps you turn engagement into insights. From here, you can:
Create detailed reports on participant responses
Analyze data over specific time periods
Export reports for grading, feedback, or attendance tracking
Reports can be filtered and customized, and you can save multiple views depending on your goals.
Courses Tab
If you’ve connected Poll Everywhere to your LMS (like Canvas), the Courses tab is where you’ll manage:
Course rosters
Assignment syncing
Participation tracking
Grade passback settings
You can also manually create or manage courses if you’re not using an LMS integration.
Profile & Settings
In the bottom-left corner of the app, you’ll see your name or avatar. Clicking this opens your personal settings menu. From here, you can:
Update your name, email, or password
Change your join code, which appears at the top of your polls during presentations
Set your preferred time zone or language
Access additional preferences under Profile Settings
These settings help personalize your account and ensure students and participants have a consistent experience.
