How will the migration to 2.0 work?
For SMB and Free Accounts:
- Migration is self-managed by the account owner.
- All users on the account are migrated together, so ensure your team is ready before you begin.
For Enterprise Corporate and Higher Ed Accounts:
- Migration is managed by our team.
- Your Customer Success Manager (CSM) will coordinate and guide the migration process.
Note on version access: In most cases, only one version (1.0 or 2.0) can be active on an account at a time. However, Poll Everywhere does grant preview access to select users, allowing them to access both platforms simultaneously. Preview access is approval-based and is granted on request to help users explore 2.0 while managing the workflow transition, particularly for teams that need time to adapt before fully committing to the switch.
What happens after I migrate?
Once migrated, you will no longer have access to Poll Everywhere 1.0 for creating or running polls. Your historical reports from 1.0 remain viewable.
If you need to revert temporarily, you can switch back to 1.0 here: pe.app/a/settings/platform_migration. Be aware that any responses or content created in 2.0 will remain in 2.0 and will not carry over to 1.0.
Can I try 2.0 before migrating?
- Enterprise users: Request a test account through your Customer Success Manager.
- SMB users: A dedicated trial path is not currently available. As a workaround, you can sign up with a separate email address to explore 2.0.
I don't want to migrate yet — what are my options?
There is no forced migration timeline at this stage. Your CSM (or our support team for SMB accounts) can help you schedule migration when the timing works for your organisation, including options for a pilot before full rollout.
Will everyone need to move to 2.0 eventually?
Yes, though we’re not enforcing a switch at this time. Our goal is to have all customers on 2.0 by the end of 2027.
