Apple has introduced new security enhancements in macOS 10.14 (Mojave). The first time you run Poll Everywhere for macOS in Mojave, you’ll be prompted to grant Poll Everywhere access to PowerPoint or Keynote.
If you select “Don’t Allow,” Poll Everywhere will not have the necessary permissions to run inside of PowerPoint or Keynote. This will likely result in errors or crashes.
To grant or restore permissions to Poll Everywhere, follow these steps:
Step 1: Quit Poll Everywhere for MacOS.
Step 2: Quit PowerPoint or Keynote.
Step 3: Open System Preferences then select Security & Privacy.
Step 4: Select the Privacy tab, then select Automation in the leftmost menu.
Step 5: Select the checkboxes next to Microsoft PowerPoint and Keynote in the Poll Everywhere section on the right.
Once this process is complete, Poll Everywhere for macOS should function as intended in both PowerPoint and Keynote.
