The question page is made up of three main components: The Slide Pane (Carousel) on the left, the Question Slide in the center, and the Visual Configuration Menu on the right.
The Slide Pane (carousel)
The carousel shows thumbnail previews of every slide in your deck. Use it to:
View the overall flow of your presentation.
Jump directly to a slide by clicking its thumbnail.
Drag and drop slides to reorder them.
Add or delete questions.
Helpful tip: The carousel disappears in full-screen mode. Once you exit, it reappears.
Question slide
The question slide is the main presentation area where live responses appear in real-time. Most of the space is dedicated to audience responses, with controls placed around the edges.
Key features include:
Sorting: Arrange responses by default order or votes (for multiple choice).
Live counter: Tracks the number of responses submitted.
QR code: Each presenter has a unique QR code that links participants directly to their join URL. Scanning it with a smartphone opens the poll in a browser.
Action buttons
At the top right of the question slide, you will notice a row of action buttons. You can use these buttons to present, or share your activity. Here is what each button does from left to right:
- Present: Entering Present mode will automatically activate the activity.
-
Responses – Options to:
Archive Question: Clear and archive responses for the current question.
Archive Poll: Clear and archive responses for all related polls.
Delete Question Responses: Permanently remove responses from the current question.
View Reports: Clicking this takes you to the poll’s report.
-
Share – Share your poll with different permission levels:
Presenter: Can present, copy, and view responses.
Editor: Includes Presenter rights, plus can edit poll content.
Owner: Includes Editor rights, plus can share, move, or delete polls.
Design: Customize the visual appearance of your poll. For details, see Visualization and Response Options.
Visual configuration menu
The Visual Settings menu lets you customize your poll with options such as:
Improve with AI: Suggests better phrasing or adjustments.
Visualization: Change chart types.
Design: Adjust theme, fonts, and background images.
Response limits & restrictions: Control participation rules.
Timer: Add countdowns to keep sessions interactive.
This menu helps you refine both the look and functionality of your polls for more engaging presentations.
Presentation controls
At the bottom of the question slide, you will notice a bar with Presentation controls. You can use these buttons to alter your activity as you present. Here is what each of these buttons do, from left to right:
Exit: Exit and deactivate the poll, returning to the Slide Pane or editing area.
Full screen: Enter/exit full-screen mode.
Slide navigation: Use arrows to move between slides (works in and out of full screen).
Lock: Keep the activity active but block new responses.
Hide/Show responses: Toggle whether participants’ answers appear live on screen.
Note: Each activity type may have unique views. For details, see Activity Types.
