A Poll in Poll Everywhere is a question or prompt (single or multiple) you present to your audience to gather responses, feedback, or questions.
Step 1. From the Home page. You can create a poll in two ways:
- Manually clicking on a poll type card, e.g. Multiple choice polls (Bar, Donut, Likert or Radar) or Open Ended Polls (Word Cloud or QA) or Competition.
- Use the AI-powered question generator for faster, smarter poll creation.
Step 2. Select the poll you would like to create for the audience from the poll card.
Step 3. Type your question or prompt (manually or via AI).
For Multiple-choice Polls (Bar, Donut, Likert or Radar):
Radar Chart: Great for comparing multidimensional data like performance metrics or opinion spreads.
Likert Scale: Perfect for measuring agreement, satisfaction, or attitudes on a scale.
Donut Chart & Bar Chart: Clean, familiar visualizations now with improved clarity and layout.
Once you enter your prompt (whether manually or with AI assistance), specify the response choices you want the audience to select from. To add more options, click the plus Add choice button at the bottom left. To delete choices, click the Trash icon on the right of the option you wish to remove. To rearrange the order of the choices, click and drag the six dots on the left side of your choices.
Mark correct answers by checking the box next to the option(s). When revealed, correct answers display in green. You can set as many correct responses as you wish.
Switch between visualization types (Bar, Donut, Likert, Radar) with smooth transitions and visual polish.
For Open-Ended Polls: Word cloud or Q&A: Simply enter the question or prompt. Just like with multiple-choice polls, you can switch to our dynamic visualization within the poll. This allows you to change an open-ended poll to another poll type directly on the poll slide, with smoother transitions and enhanced visual polish.
For Competition: Competitions are a series of multiple-choice questions presented as a quiz. After giving your Competition a title, you can add as many questions as you’d like—the process is the same as creating any multiple-choice poll (see the section above).
