For a better site experience, encryption, and privacy support, Poll Everywhere strongly recommends using the latest version of the internet browsers listed below.
Poll Everywhere 2.0 requires a modern browser. Older browser versions are blocked, and will see a "Your browser isn't supported" message in place of the site.
Poll Everywhere 2.0 supports the following internet browsers:
- Chrome (version 120 or later)
- Edge (version 120 or later)
- Safari (version 17.2 or later, released December 2023)
- Firefox (version 121 or later)
- Opera (version 106 or later)
Internet Explorer is not supported at any version.
On iPhone and iPad, the Safari version is set by the operating system rather than updated on its own. Safari 17.2 was included in iOS and iPadOS 17.2, released in December 2023, so you will need iOS or iPadOS 17.2 or later on those devices. On Mac, Safari 17.2 is available for macOS Monterey (12) and later.
These are the browser versions that natively support the web technologies Poll Everywhere 2.0 is built on, including WebP images, import maps, CSS nesting, and the CSS :has() selector.
Both presenters and participants need a supported browser. A participant joining on an older phone or tablet may need to update their browser, or their device's operating system, before they can respond.
If you are using a supported browser at the listed version or later and Poll Everywhere 2.0 does not work as expected, try the following:
- Check to see if your internet browser needs updating
- Use a different browser (in its latest version) as a temporary workaround
- Contact customer support and include the version of the internet browser you are using
