Poll Everywhere for Mac may experience display issues during PowerPoint or Keynote presentations due to macOS privacy settings, specifically, Screen Recording permissions. These permissions were introduced with macOS Catalina (10.15) and are required to allow apps to “see” what’s being displayed on your screen.
Note: Poll Everywhere does not record your screen. It examines what's on the screen to ensure that activities display properly during a Keynote or PowerPoint presentation. No visual data is saved or sent.
Please allow screen recording permissions for Poll Everywhere to work properly. If polls aren't appearing correctly or permission dialogs don't show up, resetting screen recording permissions can often resolve these issues. To do this, follow the steps below. Note that you will need the password for an administrator account in order to set these permissions.

- Close Microsoft PowerPoint and/or Apple Keynote if they're running.
Step 2: Remove Screen Recording Permissions

- Select system settings (or system preferences on older macOS versions).
- Navigate to privacy & security.
- Scroll down and select screen & system audio recording.
- In the right panel, find Poll Everywhere in the list.

Step 4: Test Functionality

Note: Some users on version 4.0.0 may need to manually remove or reset screen recording permissions, even if they have previously allowed them. This can help resolve app crash issues or when polls still fail to render.
